HAPPY HOLIDAYS

As you can see we got snow. These last few days we received about 18 inches of the white stuff. Diane has been having a blast outside, sledding and playing. Jon used the snow blower and made her a mound in the middle of the backyard to sled down.

In other news, both Diane and I finished our Nano goals. Mine was 50,000 words and hers was 6,500. I am hoping to finish the actual story in Jan – no time in Dec. And then start editing it. Diane wants to do the same with hers. We will keep you posted on how well that is going.

The play got off to a rough start, but is doing wonderful. Audience attendance has been low, but hopefully it will pick up this week. Here is a picture of the poster they put out for it. They had intended to put Diane in her costume on it. Unfortunately, the pictures did not turn out and there was no time to take more. And as promised here is a picture of Diane in her costume.

My jobs for the play continue to grow. Now I am Woman on the Street, asst. stage manager, and asst. makeup helper, and keeper of the butterflies. Towards the end of act 1 I lower 3 mobiles of butterflies down from the ceiling. I make them dance through a song, and then make them “fly away”.

After opening night, there was a cast party. We had birthday cake for Jon. So he celebrated his birthday at the theater. We also tossed in the new sound girl, as it was her birthday the day before.

We had 3 days off from the play. I was hoping to get caught up and rested, but I didn’t get either. Better than before, I think. We did manage to find the mudroom. So now we don’t have to track all the snow across the floor to find somewhere dry to take off our boots and wet stuff.

And this week we had a visitor. The picture is not the best, but he is in a tree straight out our backdoor. We have been watching for him to see if he will make another appearance for a photo shoot.

Our next year is filling up fast with projects and things to do and be involved in. We have found our new community very welcoming and feel very at home here. We wish the same for all you.

May your new year be filled with love and magical wishes!
